This is one of my favourite Fish Taverns in Cyprus and where else would you expect to find Captain Vassos’ Fish Tavern, other than centre stage on Ayia Napa Harbour, with a bountiful supply of fresh seafood in the refrigerated displays and live Lobster tanks and fresh Oysters. It’s blatantly obvious to see how the family have built such a dedicated following since 1962. A popular choice with the locals, nationals and visitors because the fish here is absolutely unbeatable!
There’s always something happening at the harbour, so whether you’re just going for a stroll to see the boats or you’re coming back from a boat trip or you just want to get away from the maddening crowd, this is a great eaterie … in fact this restaurant really stands out as one of Cyprus’ finest fish taverns … just check their Trip Advisor reviews.

Choose from imported live Lobster from the Lobster Tanks. Fine de Claire Oysters, Grade 1 Certificated that are really to die for, or maybe fresh Mussels . fresh Prawns . King Prawns . fresh Baby Calamari . Cray Fish . Crab . Maybe try a Seafood Platter for two? but my fav just has to be the sun-dried Octopus, cooked with a family recipe that remains secret for generations but omg! You’ll never taste anything like this !!!
Make sure you are hungry, order a seasonal 18 dish Fish Meze and you’ll be in paradise … or make your own, choose from the fridge, they’ll weigh it in front of you and just tell them how you’d like it cooked … Trust me, you’ll be licking your fingers as well as your lips!
