... It’s time to the live life to the fullest, in a beautiful home, surrounded by your beautiful family, and of course travelling to warmer winter climates is good for the soul and in turn for your health.

The 15th August is in fact  Assumption Day, the day Mary, mother of Christ, was taken up to heaven, body and soul, so she could be with her son Jesus forever ... it's preceded by 14 days of fasting, and of course all the churches in full flow! It's celebrated by a day of Feast, hence the reason you'll see all those huge queues at the butchers and smell those wonderful aromas of lamb on BBQ's everywhere.

this local band based in Nicosia, are one of the few Cypriot bands that sing in English and tbh, they're unique in every sense of the word ... normally doing about 10 gigs a month the lockdown has given them time to think, differently, yet again!!!

... It was very strange seeing the strip with just locals and long stay workers partying, it was cool bumping into some old faces, and the social distancing thing seems to be a thing of the past in Napa, in fact all over the coastal towns of Cyprus ... and tbh, much to my relief coz, I've had enough of it!

Better late than never ... It was carnival season in Cyprus, and I was at Carnival Ammochostos, it's getting bigger every year ... and typically, I got there a bit late but still caught some awesome shots, so if you were there check out this really cool selection of the hundreds I took ...

... With all these festivals and carnivals happening, and Easter coming in April, there’s an obvious sign that places will be opening early this season to welcome the ever increasing early season visitors promised by many tour operators, of course adding to the locals who are still in ‘off season’ party mode, gotta feeling this is gonna be a great month !!!

It was quite an accurate reading as Romany told me in the past I had a relationship, that was held together for no particular reason but a refusal to change my behavior led the relationship to end ... She got that right! ...

I was cooking Chicken Sweet & Sour and would normally add some slices of fresh pineapple to enhance the sauce, but all I had was honeydew melon, so I thought I'd try it ... and it was so good, I just had to share it with you, because this is gonna first confuse, then excite those taste buds.
