Hidden Gem I love finding these little places that are a little bit different ... Safira Coffee House is exactly that! ... Nestled on the main road, almost on the zebra crossing from Likio School, Safira stands out as a retreat of comfort and tranquility, for locals and visitors alike.  This little hidden gem has quickly gained a reputation for its warm ambiance, exceptional service, and, of course, its delightful selection of coffees and snacks to dine in, takeaway, or get home delivery.

But tbh, The Square Bar is better known for their Live Music, every night from 8.30 pm 'til late.  That's mostly down to Peter and Rob, of the legendary 'Live Lounge' in Cardiff fame, who told me "We partnered up with Panicos in 2014 to bring you the very best in live bands, duo and solo artists" ... There's regular theme nights including Belly Dance Nights and Fancy Dress Nights, so you might find them looking like police officers and even witches ... Naturally, the girls like to have fun, so they'll dance for you at your table, maybe even a little striptease and if you'd like something a little more private?  Just ask, who knows it might be your lucky night?

Taking over the aptly named Din Dins, in June 2018, Glen, Debbie and Sharon had some really cool plans, and it's obvious they got it right, from the start!  Opening this family bar and restaurant, with comfy seating, both outside on the covered decking, edged with potted plants or inside, where you'll immediately notice a really friendly atmosphere, so the idea is, there's no rush if you're eating, and if you're not hungry you can just chill with a drink and soak up the atmosphere, quite unique, and on that note, the impulse banter between this crew in full flow is just awesome ...

I love a game of cards, and Poker is one of my favourites.  So, I was really happy to catch up with Asteros, the manager, at the Cyprus Poker Federation, Ayia Napa for a coffee and a chat.  Asterios said, "The Cyprus Poker Federation was originally established back in 2019 to help advance Poker in Cyprus, and is dedicated to promoting the game and supporting the local poker community" ... I love what they've done to this place from the décor to the menu, to the relaxed ambience and attenuative service, with sea views to die for, by day or by night!  I've definitely be put them on one of my top places to eat, drink and relax, even if it's just for a coffee with apple tart or just a cocktail.

I asked manager George how it all started? ... George said; "In 2018 it was just sand, in 2019 it was a canteen-style Kiosk.  We leveled it to the ground, removing rocks, bamboo bushes, and Acacia trees, and Paragka was rebuilt in 2021"  The whole idea was totally and inspirationally designed by George, now it's a sophisticated Beach Hut with its idyllic location, inviting a relaxed ambiance, accompanied by delectable cuisine, Paragka Beach Restaurant has become a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike.

Over a gorgeous cappuccino I asked Vaida, why she created 'The Loop'? … She explained; "I'm originally from Lithuania, but lived in Holland for many many years and fell in love and married a Cypriot and finally moved to Cyprus just 4 years ago" … Vaida continued, "I noticed there was a distinct lack of places to get good fresh food, not just vegetarian and vegan but specialising in healthy eats and healthy diets".
