"en-yevo" Tavernaki, Ayia Napa, Established 2015

Truly Authentic
You really can’t get much more authentic than “en-yevo” Tavernaki, just a five minute walk from Ayia Napa’s Monastery.  It’s traditionally Cypriot with a little Greek mixed in, but even that’s got a Cypriot influence! … the first thing that impressed me was the owner’s priority to order all the meat, fish and vegetables fresh every day … brilliant !  Must have something to do with why they were voted in the top 3 restaurants in Ayia Napa by Trip Advisor in 2017, and btw that made them No:1 in the area of the square …

Sold Out Nightly
A delightful village exterior, traditional inside, sort of courtyard style with hanging vines and flowers everywhere and little olive trees on the tables, antique memorabilia hanging here ‘n there … Christos, explained the reason behind their success “we order a calculated amount for each traditional dish, and make enough for say ten Moussakas, then when they are sold that dish is finished for the evening”.  I suppose at this point I should mention this is the only place I know that makes their Moussaka fresh every day and it’s served ‘not‘ in a clay pot, oh and if you like Moussaka, you better get there early 😉

Kleftico or Meze
Naturally as a traditional Cypriot Restaurant the sealed clay ovens are lit early to allow their Kleftico to cook to perfection, you know, when it just falls off the bone, and those Cyprus potatoes just melt in your mouth … the charcoal grills are alight all night, so you’ll find mixed grills and an absolutely awesome Meze, it’s 17 Dishes which change seasonally because absolutely everything is fresh …

A’la Carte Menu
Specialities include their amazing stuffed Mushrooms, with Feta Cheese blended with honey or the absolutely unique Stiffado Xidia, 5 kg Rabbit, loads of onion, soaked in a lemon marinade, it’s a crazy blend of tantalizing flavours … btw, The Beef Stiffado is just as delicious … likewise so many of their choices from the A’la Carte Menu …

Seafood
They chose their fish, fresh daily from the local fish market, it’s always today’s catch! You really must try the Sea Bream for two … and even better their Fish Meze, which includes fresh Kalamari, fresh Tsipoura, fresh Sea Bass, fresh King Prawns and lots more cooked to perfection some on the grill and others conjured up by Head chef Christos and his very able assistants …

Afters
The desserts are all home made too, in fact it’s one of Christos’ passions … his favourites and mine are the Paklava, the creamy Galatboureko and a Tiramisu to die for!, even the traditional Cypriot Sweets in syrup have that little edge on others, and compliment your after dinner coffee !

Cava
It’s traditionally Cypriot right down to the exclusively Cypriot Cava, carefully selected to compliment their menu and as we now produce some of the worlds finest wines you’ll be happy with the wine menu.  Naturally you’ll also find your fav spirits and chilled, bottled beers.

Parties & Events
Christos’ partner Pambos welcomes absolutely everyone with traditional Cypriot hospitality, and enjoys hosting small weddings up to 20 guests and private parties or corporate lunches, with a promise to bring you the freshest food and some lovely surprises and just in case you want more comments, check out their reviews on Trip Advisor
