Since they opened, this pub, come restaurant, has really gained an excellent reputation, firstly for their delicious food, passionately cooked by George, and equally for their traditional Cypriot Hospitality, Entertainment, and welcoming atmosphere.  On the menu, you'll get British all-the-way food ..

This is where they excel, specialising in over 20 different choices of kebabs.  Gyros here is a choice of 4 meats, pork, chicken from Greece, beef and lamb from the UK, each cut into thin slices, layered and seasoned, and set onto big skewers ready to be imported.  Vangelis said, "I spend a little extra, but I get the very best" ... I asked "do you then add a little more seasoning" and he said "there's really no need", tbh, the beef Gyro was probably the best I've ever tasted ...

The name Karas is synonymous with quality fresh fish, and it's regarded as one of the best fish restaurants in Cyprus, so its naturally a Cypriots favourite, and purely by reputation, they come from all over Cyprus to eat here !

Over a gorgeous cappuccino I asked Vaida, why she created 'The Loop'? … She explained; "I'm originally from Lithuania, but lived in Holland for many many years and fell in love and married Nicos a Cypriot and finally moved to Cyprus just 8 years ago" … Vaida continued, "I noticed there was a distinct lack of places to get good fresh food, not just vegetarian and vegan but specialising in healthy eats and healthy diets".

... Now, this is where this place excels ... they call them seasonal 'Rain Gifts' because Tony and the family are dedicated to bringing you the freshest and most sought-after wild Cypriot produce, like baby wild Artichokes, Snails, fresh Asparagus, and Tony takes a regular trip to Paphos to find rare wild mushrooms, all part of the norm.  Tony often walks 15km to 25km a day to bring you the best selection that night ... needless to say if you like wild Mushrooms omg, this place is an absolute must!

I met Daniela at The Cyprus Bar Show in Kapparis, and when I found out she had recently bought one of my favourite eateries 'Cinnamon Lounge Bar' at the 100+-year-old Mansion aka Shongas Inn, in the heart of Deryniea Village, I just had to find out more.  So we arranged a meeting and over a delicious coffee I was more than pleasantly surprised, this lady is on another level ...

Situated just to the right of Ayia Napa Harbour, a little more serene, relax with a drink out front in a modern chilled ambiance, or under the huge covered terrace or out back, overlooking the med ... it really is a perfect place to enjoy fresh premium seafood delights and there's a huge pristine lawn and a playground area for the kids with swings, trampolines, tunnels, slides, and things ... Naturally I had to ask why Mambo’s, I joked, nothing to do with Nando’s?, he smiled and said "maybe" … explaining “if anything, we wanted to bring a new concept to the area, with a hint of a Mediterranean fusion with South America” … But I love the name, the décor very cool, the little touches here and there tells you know they mean business.  There’s a lovely long terrace on the sunny mornings side of the road, and indoors spacious for your parties … or those chilli winter nights …

I've known the infamous consultant chef Louis Papageorgiou since he opened Di Capilla Seaside Stories in 2005.  It was my absolute pleasure to interview him, without a doubt one of Cyprus' finest chefs, this guy is seriously on another level.  These days, he's writing a new chapter, purely by accident, in 2010 he met and partnered up with Savvas, a master of hospitality, whom I've known since his Napa days in 1993 ... and together they started a new story ...

By night it's chill out early, then by 10'ish it's best described as a Pre-Club Party Bar, with a wicked sound system, lights and smoke, confetti 'n all, so be warned you might not make it to the club coz this lot party every night … With resident and guest DJ's through the season, the music, playing a cool mix of House, R'n'B and Classic Party tunes with MC's that'll get you up on your feet and you'll be dancing on the the dance floor, podiums and well, pretty much anywhere you wanna! ...
