Wild West Saloon Bar & Restaurant, Ayia Napa

Wild West Restaurant
Half way along Nissi Avenue is this awesome Saloon Bar and Cypriot Tavern, swinging towards a Cowboy Tex Mex themed restaurant !  The Wild West is a really fantastic place to eat, especially with the kids.  Looking a lot like a ranch out of a Hollywood western, all wooden tables, chairs, and benches, even a balcony upstairs, where of course you’ll find the Ladies … nooo, not that type, and the gents, toilets ;), with disabled and baby changing facilities.  There’s Cowboy and Indian memorabilia everywhere, which’ll take you back to the wild, wild west days, and btw, it has been know to get a bit wild in here 😉

Kids play areas
Apart from being spacious and comfortable, they have comfy seating next to a cool mini kids play area, aka Luna Park, fenced and secured to keep the kids safe and happy before and after their meal with slides, bouncy castles and climbing frames, to help get them ready for bed 😉

Chance to chat
Meanwhile, you can sit back and relax with one of their delicious cocktails or watch the footie over a beer in the new lounge or have a natter with a glass or two of wine from their Cypriot and International Cava … including one or two of my faves, like Ayios Onoufrios by Vasilikon Winery, the smooth dry white Xynisteri, Semillon, or the Costantinos a medium dry red or the amazing and delectable Mountain Vine, a Cabernet Sauvignon dry red …  hmm one glass is never enough !

On the Menu
The Wild West Saloon offers an extensive selection of delicious meals, just check out the boards out front … There’s everything from the starters like the Baby Spare Ribs with BBQ sauce, omg! or the Flame Grilled Steaks, maybe if you’re really hungry a variety of Cypriot Meze, including Fish Meze and Seafood Platters, Cyprus Specialities like Kleftico, or a must the Tex Mex Selections! naturally they also have vegetarian dishes, burgers, pastas, pizza and as it’s all geared up for the kids, with a really cool Children’s Menu.

Cyprus & Greece to Italy
There’s Traditional Cypriot Specialities like Moussaka and Kleftiko from the oven, Charcoal Grilled Kebabs, Sheftalies, and amongst the great selection of Seafood, you must try their Salmon, it’s one of their repeating clients’ most popular dishes, or maybe just a snack, go diner style with a sandwich or a sizzling pizza with a choice of toppings !

Kids & Set Menus
Everyone loves special offers, so why not try one of their set Menus ! and for the kiddies there’s Nuggets, Mini Pizzas, and much much more, or just ask them to size down any dish ! And the staff speak, Greek, English, Russian and French !

Huge Steaks
Now if you’re looking for a good steak this is an awesome choice.  Partner Demetris, carefully selects all his meat, importing special cuts from Ireland and Argentina, or as fresh as it comes locally!  You can order by the kilo, 500 gm or 350 gm … Check out my fav, the huge Cowboy Steak, cooked to perfection, with a choice of 4 different sauces, and btw, head chef’s speciality, unusually, is the Steak Diane cooked like no other, with his special secret recipe, it’s a must try, alternatively your favourite is bound to be in the choice of 15 different sauces, wow ! or why not try the deliciously moorish Rack of BBQ Spare Ribs, which are bound to leave you licking your fingers! mmmm !

Time to chill
There’s a cool covered chill out lounge bar area with free WiFi, lounge style seating, gorgeous plants, and fans to keep you cool and with 3 large screen TV’s and a Projector where you can catch the Live Sports or the kids can watch their favs like Tom and Jerry on the big screen … Really, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a great relaxed evening.

Parties
Welcoming all inquiries for weddings, private parties and special events, Omiros, with over 40 years in the hospitality world is your host, and a well cool dude, whom I’ve known for many years, back when he worked in top hotels like heading up hospitality at the Cyprus Hilton.  I watched as he carefully selected a good location then turned a bar into something a little more special.  Partner and head chef Demetris is in the kitchen, and let me just say this guy knows how to cook !  and with an awesome crew out front, together they make an unbeatable team …
