Ayia Napa

To Steki tou Boss, Paralimni

0
To Steki tou Boss, in the heart of Paralimni is an authentic Cypriot Taverna, offering that 'Home from Home' feeling! Inside the décor, in one part designer influenced bespoke wooden tables and chairs made really comfy, patchwork high stools up at the bar, blended with cafe-style seating, lots of wood, village artefacts everywhere, plants and really cool lighting. The menu is a tick list of what's in the kitchen so you create your own meze, 3 of those, 2 of these, none of them etc ... just brilliant .... Highly recommended ... In 1995, Costas opened his first gym, 'Innomenon Efnon', in a basement, on the road to Limassol, almost 30 years later, 51 year old Costa has just moved from his old gym 100 metres, away into his 4th and newest gym in Larnaca and Diaplasis Sport & Wellness was born!   Costas is quite unique, being committed to helping all his members to achieve their goals, but he takes this to another level because here you'll get regular one-to-one attention to make absolutely sure you get there!

Amathus Ruins, Limassol, Circa.10th Century BC

0
One of the most impressive features of the Amathus Ruins is the Temple of Aphrodite, which I believe, was excavated in the 1980s.  The temple was a center of worship for the goddess of love and beauty and was believed to have been built in the 6th century BC.  The temple was adorned with beautiful sculptures and frescoes, many of which can still be seen today.

The Lingo: Excuses aka Mañana

0
We thought you might appreciate a quick crash course in the basics of the local lingo, which is a sort of slang Greek, aka ‘Horthkatika’ which is basically a village Greek. Most of the locals speak English but they love it if you make an effort to speak their language. I do it in English phonetics so just read in English … Simples! … oh and don’t take it too seriously …

Clubbing

0
... the media tried to say Napa' is notorious for booze crazed youths, dropping all their inhibitions, getting plastered, tattooed and having sex or passing out in the doorways, you know, sun sea and sex holidays ... yep !  It's no different from any other top resort in the world but at least in Cyprus, you get guaranteed sun 330 days a year, a few of the best beaches in Europe, one of the best seas in the world and loads of sex on the beach ... I'm referring to the cocktail 😉

Ayia Napa Street Art Festival, Day 3, 2019

DJS Professional, Light, Sound & Automation, Cyprus

0
Specialising in sound, light, and automation, without doubt Andreas' expertise is evident, with many top bars and clubs trusting in his knowledge and experience, to be honest, I've never met anyone who knows audio better than this guy, and listened with interest as he critiqued the sound and light system at Ministry of Sound in London on our visit a few years back, ask him to tell you about it 😉

Intro - Paralimni - St Georges Church ScanParalimni & Kapparis

360° Real Vision Cyprus, Paphos

0
'Presentation' is nine tenths of the sale and all I can say is when you see the quality of this team's work it'll exceed your expectations and you'll realise, just how good they are, and if you are selling Property its a must ... The inevitable result is how much easier it'll be to sell your property, quicker ... or help promote or sell your business more effectively.

To’ Nissiotiko Taverna, Protaras

0
Serving traditional Cypriot cuisine, or as Artemaki calls it, ''pure horthiaytiko'' or 'village-style' in English. The food is always cooked fresh, mostly over real charcoal, so it'll take at least 20 minutes to be served, but let me just say; it's worth every minute! and don't worry the pitta bread, dips and salads will wet your apatite. Whilst Arimaki's mum cooks traditional Cypriot dishes for your delight!

I Wish it Would Rain Down on Me!

0
Andrew Rafferty with Two Sides of Phil Collins, one of the world's best tributes to the legend himself ... This guy looks like Phil, dresses identical and sounds just like him ... and as we hadn't seen rain since May this cover of 'I wish It Would Rain' was quite apt!

The Mermaid Cruise, Protaras

0
The story begins as any good story should; 'Once upon a time' there were two mermaids ... the kids all listen with a sense of anticipation ... then there's a fun treasure hunt led by their onboard characters; Pirate Billy Bones and the delightful Tinkerbell to keep the nippers occupied.

Aristides Craft Distilling, Tseri, Nicosia

0
My initial interest was to find out about their gins, Aris explained, "it's what originally brought us back to Cyprus, 'to create a quality craft gin'.  Our initial inspiration was the aroma of The Troodos Mountains after a long dry summer when it first rains and we wanted to capture exactly that and put it in a bottle and we called it Aoratas Dry Gin which in fact last year won a gold medal.

Carbon Copies Live @ Tipsy O’Turtle, Pernera

Parko Paliatso Luna Park, Ayia Napa

I love this place, the sounds of gears and links chinking, smothered by fair ground music, the smell of candy floss and bbq corn on the cob, the multi coloured lights and occasional girly screams. It's really cool idea coz you just buy a Wrist Band depending on your ages and what you want to do!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
