... the media tried to say Napa' is notorious for booze crazed youths, dropping all their inhibitions, getting plastered, tattooed and having sex or passing out in the doorways, you know, sun sea and sex holidays ... yep !  It's no different from any other top resort in the world but at least in Cyprus, you get guaranteed sun 330 days a year, a few of the best beaches in Europe, one of the best seas in the world and loads of sex on the beach ... I'm referring to the cocktail ;)

For me, the aroma of BBQ over real charcoals is just Cyprus, the Mediterranean and traditional meze on its way, there's nothing quite like it !

It's a family-run business, and a more international eatery would be hard to find, with Mediterranean, Greek, Italian and Indian cuisines to add to the traditional Cypriot choices on the menu, Andonis calls it "Multi-Cultural-Fusion" ... I suppose, that says it all!

I was trying to find out a bit more about the rules and red tape of residents from the UK and third-world countries moving to Cyprus and was highly recommended to meet Antigoni.  It was the greatest of pleasures to meet up with Antigoni, who I quickly realised is one of those people who has an extreme passion for her chosen career.

It's a lovely idea for a truly different day out. What I really like about The Camel Park is it’s diversity, as there’s always something new to see every time you go. With such a lot of animals, there’s often a few babies around including iccle Camels, ranging from as little as 2 weeks old … they are just delightful! You can choose to stroll around at your leisure or there’s guides who offer information in several languages.

Lakis explained; "We provide a high-level, professional service, and we now have 6 Qualified Barbers with at least 4 years experience, working with us at our two shops ... we specialise in Trend Setting Haircuts, Textured Crops, Cutthroat Shaves with Hot Steam Towels, Beards ... plus Men's Facials, things like ingrowing hair extraction and much more" ... Lakis continued; "we love doing Skin Fades, & Head Shaves with the sharpest of accuracy"!

Over a delicious coffee, Chris said, ''we just came on holiday, decided to move, and pretty much bought the pub straight away", ha! I've heard that story so many times! ... but tbh, these guys have just blended in like they've been here forever ... I expect it's got something to do with the traditional Cypriot Hospitality with a South African Twist, that oozes from the family and crew.

I asked Marios @ Andria Steak & Seafood Restaurant, in Coral Bay, Paphos what's their secret behind their success?  He said "it's down to the quality of our ingredients, everything is fresh daily and cooked to order, and to us, presentation is an art" ... I have to say it's impeccable!  Marios continued; "to cook a good steak you first have to buy a good steak, and that's exactly what we do, importing the finest Black Angus Beef and the freshest seafood caught daily by local fishermen" ... It's amazing how many people still didn't know this place exists ... it's situated in the village of Avgorou, and includes beautifully landscaped herb gardens, the woodland area created in the shape of Cyprus, scattered with the endemic trees and shrubs of Cyprus, a Lavender Labyrinth, and it boasts the first and only hedge maze on the island, all 2000 sq.m. of it ...

The Black Pearl's adventure glides you along the rugged coastline towards Cape Greco.  Hoisting the colours, Captain Jack Sparrow, Sweet Bonnie and all the other gorgeous pirates, who will get you in the mood, making pirate flags and dressing you up and teaching you some pirates facts and some pirate lingo ... and you'll even learn the Pirates Oath ... ho ho ho, and a bottle of Rum!
