It's a lovely idea for a truly different day out. What I really like about The Camel Park is it’s diversity, as there’s always something new to see every time you go. With such a lot of animals, there’s often a few babies around including iccle Camels, ranging from as little as 2 weeks old … they are just delightful! You can choose to stroll around at your leisure or there’s guides who offer information in several languages.
Situated in the middle of Protaras Bay, without argument, one of Cyprus' finest beaches ... it's a family business, run by two brothers Alexi and Kyri, btw, they've been on the beach since they were in nappies, or not as the case may be, things don't change lol
As I arrived, my first impressions were it looked quite 'normal', a fairly plain frontage, edged in gorgeous natural stone walls, wonderful wooden shutters, but through the big antique wooden front doors and into the lounge and you're in another world ... making it obvious why its a favourite for wedding planners ...
These days they are renting more than just Scooters, they also have Quads and Buggies and just a few bicycles ... with over 70 new and fully serviced vehicles, you are bound to find something that suits ... and all the vehicles have a Back Box, somewhere to store your gear.
... Continuing the cruise towards Lover's Bridge, pulling in so close to Sharks Mouth Cave and The Pirates Caves, you have to push them off the rocks ... and then on towards the sea caves where you'll have a chance to jump in and explore the caves or just have a refreshing dip in the beautiful Blue Lagoon during the 45 minute swim stop ... oh, mind you don't lose your Captain to the Aphrodite I Cruises here 😉
There's nothing quite like a Guided Quad Bike Safari Tour with Mido and his crew ... It must be said that the garage was originally opened by dad, Michalis back in 1976 ... so Anninos grew up with greasy hands ... going on to excel in his studies, he's highly qualified with two degrees in Automotive Engineering, the first in Teesside University from 2010 to 2015 whilst working with Mercedes and BMW and later in Nicosia where he enhanced his Diagnostic qualifications ... in 2009 Anninos re-juvenated his fathers garage workshop with all the latest diagnostic testing equipment with just one goal, to be the best tuning garage workshop in Cyprus ... and it looks like he's well on target!
… One of the things I like about this 'Touristic accommodation' is their central position, just 300 metres walk from the square in Ayia Napa. It's a small complex, with only 14 spacious, studio and 1 bedroom apartments with kitchenettes, but no pool, or cafe, but that's not a problem because you're just 50 metres from a mini supermarket, tavernas, bars and amenities and the sea is just a few minutes away.
