May 2020
It’s been the craziest start to the season ever, and I’ve seen so much happen over the past 28 years, with one crises after another, somehow the Cypriots just seem to bounce straight back out of them ... stay tuned for the latest here ...
April 2020
One thing we can’t change is, it's Christian Easter on Sunday 12th and then just one week later it’s Greek Orthodox Easter on Sunday 19th, which also marks the end of 49 days of Lent, remember Green Monday the last time we could congregate, ffs, and of course Easter is the day we would all normally go crazy, lighting bonfires and BBQ’s, the aromas of barbecued Lamb just mouth-watering …
March 2020
... With all these festivals and carnivals happening, and Easter coming in April, there’s an obvious sign that places will be opening early this season to welcome the ever increasing early season visitors promised by many tour operators, of course adding to the locals who are still in ‘off season’ party mode, gotta feeling this is gonna be a great month !!!
February 2020
Of course, you have to love February, coz on the 14th it’s Valentine’s Day and it always makes me laugh when I watch the postman struggle to get my cards in the letterbox ;) … Naturally, there’s nothing quite like a little romance, especially on our Goddess Aphrodite’s Island of Love … So guys, pop into ...
January 2020
… so as we say a huge goodbye to the teens, we gotta give a big warm welcome to the 'Twenteens' ;) Ha! Getting old is old stuff lol ... and naturally we wish you a healthy and prosperous start to the new decade, I wonder where it's gonna take us?
December 2019
Oh, and if you think it’s quiet in December let’s not forget, it’s time for work’s parties, warm-up for Christmas Parties, Christmas parties, New Year parties and Fancy Dress parties and lots of Christmas markets, festivals, live gigs and naturally we’ll all be getting together with family and friends, to eat too much, drink too much, and with a bit of luck enjoy a little sex on the beach ? … calm down, it’s just a cock tale
November 2019
It’s the season for exhibitions and festivals and summer closing parties and winter opening parties and if you think Cyprus is dead, you should look again … sure it’s quieter than the summer, and many bars and clubs closed early this year, doubling up their Halloween Party with their closing party, any excuse to get rid of all the booze in stock, lol ... and, if I hear you say there's nothing to do, I'll put you on the next flight home ...
October 2019
There’s Live music events and festivals everywhere and closing parties and opening parties all over the place, and we’ll see a few more pubs, bars, cafes, and clubs staying open, with many swinging towards the local market. So, if you get invited to any 'end of season' or 'opening' parties make sure you go … it’ll be rude not to!
Cyprus September 2019
Another reason is there’s a distinct lack of 5 to 16 year old’s on the beach, making room for the older crew, the party weathered lot, who really know how to party! All the mature boobs are out on the beach, and why not? The restaurants are in their element, as the Island of Love captures all those romantic couples, who’ll eventually end up getting married here, making Cyprus the number one place to get Wed in Europe!!!
August 2019
So its August, it’s guaranteed to be hot, well over 40°C, in the shade, and that means it’s time to remind you to drink more water, if you’re out in the sun for long durations you’ll need at least 3 litres a day … and if you think that’s loads, my good friend Craig of Bungee Down Under fame used to drink 8 litres a day and not pee, hmm take note! So if you only get one tip from this page I hope it's this one ...
