Strength & Spices, Limassol

0
It all started some years ago, when for personal reasons my father needed to assist with memory loss as he grew older.  Dr. Anabtawi aka Mo, has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering but he's very scientific, coupled with countless years of experience as a registered nutritionist, creating a formula of 23 natural ingredients that were blended together to create their Memory Booster.  The results were almost immediate and samples given to friends and when he got re-orders, Strength & Spices were born ...

Serena Bay Beach Bar & Restaurant, Pernera

0
An eatery of the highest esteem, I love the crazy paved terrace, shaded by tall mature trees, that twinkle delightfully as the sun sets, the crazy colourful tables and chairs, almost kindergarden'ish, little alcoves of comfy seating, hammocks set up high in the trees, whilst down a tier, skirting the rocks, a pathway leading to the almost private beach on the left, that'll have mellow music and waiter service and there's plenty of sunbeds, all with a view to die for, a sea of serenity at Sirena Bay ...

Lazy Day Cruise on Aphrodite II

0
The Lazy Day Cruise didn’t get its name by accident … it really is a lazy cruise in comparison to one or two other party boats that set sail from the same harbour. The Lazy Day Cruise is more designed for families who want to chill out on the med, much as the cruise caters for all ages and many who go on the party boats also book this trip towards the end of their holidays, because everyone has to chill sometime ...

The Lingo – Basic Course

0
We thought you might appreciate a quick crash course in the basics of the local lingo, which is a sort of slang Greek, aka ‘Horthkatika’ which is basically a village Greek. I was thrilled to finally get a chance to catch up with Zannetos at Fig Tree Bay Zefkas George & Son Restaurant, and I was amazed to learn that the history of Fig Tree Bay actually started here ... This beach, of course, has always been popular with the locals way before tourism really existed. Situated on the far west of Famagusta Bay, where the locals went to get away from it all, in the days when there was absolutely nothing here but sand and a few footprints ... Rodolfos Butchers & Delicatessen, Paralimni

0
I've always thought that when buying meat, it's best to buy from a local butcher.  I'm not really sure why, but it just seems to make sense, and to be honest, this butcher personifies my theory.  And the fact that they are usually busy shows that many locals, restaurant owners, and top hotels agree … in fact, most of my culinary friends tell me he's the best butcher around, and until I find someone as good, I have to agree!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!

Garden Furniture at Rustic Furniture Collection, Paralimni

What's so special about these designs, is the hydraulic reclining system added to the designs of these chairs and sunbeds.  Taking a seat on the first set, a 6-seater, dining table, I have to say I was very impressed at how smooth the high-back seat reclined with just a push of the button.
