19th Paradise Jazz Festival, Pomos 17th & 18th August 2018

0
To some it must have seemed a crazy idea to invite renowned jazz artists from England to a border area of Cyprus and so far up the West Coast, the Paradise Jazz Festival took off immediately and was loved by the audience from the very beginning, first by the British ex pats of the area, and then then by the musicians from Cyprus, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Greece, Israel, oh and then by all island's nationalities, giving it a truly international image!

Jager Bomb Dominos by Rainy & Mixalis

This dance bar is swinging into a new era, with Mixalis in charge these days, he's aiming at getting rid of the old cobwebs and instilling something younger and a little different ... it's now just a late bar with lots of good clubbing music and a cool vibe oh and they are keeping the dancing girls to keep you company 😉

Cavo Maris Beach Hotel, Protaras

0
I've had the pleasure to work closely with this impeccable hotel since 1993.  To be honest if you ever stay here, there's a very good chance you'll go back!  I think its because it's still a family run hotel, with many of their staff staying long enough to be family and its without a doubt regarded as one of Cyprus's finest hotels.  In fact, they were recently awarded a Trip Advisor Travelers' Choice Award for 2021 to add to an ever increasing impressive list of awards over the years.

Camel Park, Mazotos, Larnaca

It's a lovely idea for a truly different day out. What I really like about The Camel Park is it’s diversity, as there’s always something new to see every time you go. With such a lot of animals, there’s often a few babies around including iccle Camels, ranging from as little as 2 weeks old … they are just delightful! You can choose to stroll around at your leisure or there’s guides who offer information in several languages.

Friendship Circle, Larnaca, Cyprus

This amazing duet arrived early, togged up to the nine's in protective gear and scared the living daylights out of my neighbours, I had to go and explain ... Standing tall and proud on the left of Ayia Napa Harbour is the biggest, most stunning, luxurious yacht on the quay, and we were invited by my very good friend Mike for their Sunset Cruise.  We recently made it on board and I must say, my first impressions were, wow! This boat is definitely the most luxurious yacht on the harbour!

Parko Paliatso Luna Park, Ayia Napa

I love this place, the sounds of gears and links chinking, smothered by fair ground music, the smell of candy floss and bbq corn on the cob, the multi coloured lights and occasional girly screams. It's really cool idea coz you just buy a Wrist Band depending on your ages and what you want to do!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
