Ayia Napa

WARNING ! You’re gonna find it pretty hard to leave this fantasy to go back to reality …

Anyone who knows Napa, knows, that ‘full of youths’ stigma is just a load of media hype and no different from any other top resort! Fact is, it’s so versatile…

Gyradiko & Grill by Vangelis Takeaway & Delivery, Paralimni

0
This is where they excel, specialising in over 20 different choices of kebabs.  Gyros here is a choice of 4 meats, pork, chicken from Greece, beef and lamb from the UK, each cut into thin slices, layered and seasoned, and set onto big skewers ready to be imported.  Vangelis said, "I spend a little extra, but I get the very best" ... I asked "do you then add a little more seasoning" and he said "there's really no need", tbh, the beef Gyro was probably the best I've ever tasted ...

Octopus Craft Beer by Octo Microbrewery, Sotira

0
I asked why their beers are so good;  Taras explained, "The biggest difference of Craft Beer is it has more flavour and taste, mainly because it's not filtered or pasteurised, making it a much richer flavour.  Craft Beer is like a finger print because we never brew our beer in a bad mood, that's how we are here at Octo and we hope you are just like us" …

Things To Do

0
Many years ago, we tagged this wonderful rock as The Mythological Party Playground of the Mediterranean, and versatility is our speciality, and as our Leisure & Pleasure market continues to expand for the fast-growing cosmopolitan Cypriots, so too do the options of things to do ... and as I've said many times, make sure you do at least one thing you've never done before ...

Either Side of Cape Greco Part 1

0
Protaras and Ayia Napa lay either side of Cape Greco ... which btw is the most south easterly point on the island !

Amathus Ruins, Limassol, Circa.10th Century BC

0
One of the most impressive features of the Amathus Ruins is the Temple of Aphrodite, which I believe, was excavated in the 1980s.  The temple was a center of worship for the goddess of love and beauty and was believed to have been built in the 6th century BC.  The temple was adorned with beautiful sculptures and frescoes, many of which can still be seen today.

Eating Out

0
For me, the aroma of BBQ over real charcoals is just Cyprus, the Mediterranean and traditional meze on its way, there's nothing quite like it !

The Trail to Caledonia Waterfalls, Troodos Mountains

0

Party City, Cyprus

0
I can safely say that Party City Cyprus is one of the most prominent event planning and party services providers in Cyprus, offering a full spectrum of solutions for celebrations ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale weddings and corporate events.  Based primarily in Nicosia, the company has established itself as a “one-stop destination” for event organisation, combining creativity, logistics, and hospitality under one brand.  Oh, and their flexible pricing and service levels make it accessible to both budget-conscious and premium clients.

The Nuts of Your Dreams, Old Town Paphos

0
The setting is a beautiful environment, the historic, Ibrahims Khan, old market style, alleys in all directions, everywhere you look unique designs, interesting workshops and activities.  Architecturally it’s stunning, delectable use of stone, metal, walled gardens and an outdoor theatre area.  A natural shopaholics heaven, with exquisite handmade artefacts, mosaics, jewellery, carpentry and tasty delights, oh and The Honey Restaurant … ho hum!

Beatriz Cafe Bistro, Old Town, Pafos

0
I love a new find ... this wonderful Bistro is set in the cobbled alleys at the top end of Old Town Paphos.  It's the dream of Soula and Aristos come true.  Soula has a love of cooking, especially 'sweet things' and now you can go and enjoy a little naughtiness in a quaint French Bistro style ambience, where everything just seems to slow down and stop, and all you have to think about is which coffee to choose !

Intro - Paralimni - St Georges Church ScanParalimni & Kapparis

Closing four decades this year Julianna has become a name synonymous with quality and affordability .

Footloose Karaoke and Sports Bar, Ayia Napa

0
It's on the corner of the entrance to Bar street, and btw, it's one of the oldest bars in Napa!  Hosts Andreas and Karina, are completely 'down to earth' and absolutely love their pub and have continued it's 30 year tradition by being one of the only bars that stay open all year.  Joining the crew recently Kevin of Three Lions Pub fame is bringing the pub grub menu to another level.  Naturally it's a favourite with locals and long stay workers and of course they look after everyone that wants to join them, tbh, it's one big happy family here, and quite unique!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!

Shakes & Lattes, Board Gaming Café, Larnaca

0
It was the name that first caught my attention, Shakes and Lattes', very clever, I thought! ... Then, this wonderful idea, equally brilliant!, a Board Gaming Café, nestled in the vibrant City of Larnaca, and I just had to get together with David, owner of 'Shakes and Lattes' to find out more ...

Garden Furniture at Rustic Furniture Collection, Paralimni

What's so special about these designs, is the hydraulic reclining system added to the designs of these chairs and sunbeds.  Taking a seat on the first set, a 6-seater, dining table, I have to say I was very impressed at how smooth the high-back seat reclined with just a push of the button.
