Ayia Napa

To Steki tou Boss, Paralimni

0
To Steki tou Boss, in the heart of Paralimni is an authentic Cypriot Taverna, offering that 'Home from Home' feeling! Inside the décor, in one part designer influenced bespoke wooden tables and chairs made really comfy, patchwork high stools up at the bar, blended with cafe-style seating, lots of wood, village artefacts everywhere, plants and really cool lighting. The menu is a tick list of what's in the kitchen so you create your own meze, 3 of those, 2 of these, none of them etc ... just brilliant .... Highly recommended ... Amathus Ruins, Limassol, Circa.10th Century BC

0
One of the most impressive features of the Amathus Ruins is the Temple of Aphrodite, which I believe, was excavated in the 1980s.  The temple was a center of worship for the goddess of love and beauty and was believed to have been built in the 6th century BC.  The temple was adorned with beautiful sculptures and frescoes, many of which can still be seen today.

Cyprus Rocks Festival 2024, Protaras … 3rd ’til 8th October

Over a delicious coffee, Chris said, ''we just came on holiday, decided to move, and pretty much bought the pub straight away", ha! I've heard that story so many times! ... but tbh, these guys have just blended in like they've been here forever ... I expect it's got something to do with the traditional Cypriot Hospitality with a South African Twist, that oozes from the family and crew.

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!

Shakes & Lattes, Board Gaming Café, Larnaca

0
It was the name that first caught my attention, Shakes and Lattes', very clever, I thought! ... Then, this wonderful idea, equally brilliant!, a Board Gaming Café, nestled in the vibrant City of Larnaca, and I just had to get together with David, owner of 'Shakes and Lattes' to find out more ...

Garden Furniture at Rustic Furniture Collection, Paralimni

0
What's so special about these designs, is the hydraulic reclining system added to the designs of these chairs and sunbeds.  Taking a seat on the first set, a 6-seater, dining table, I have to say I was very impressed at how smooth the high-back seat reclined with just a push of the button.
