One of the most impressive features of the Amathus Ruins is the Temple of Aphrodite, which I believe, was excavated in the 1980s. The temple was a center of worship for the goddess of love and beauty and was believed to have been built in the 6th century BC. The temple was adorned with beautiful sculptures and frescoes, many of which can still be seen today.

I was delighted to be invited to 'Play 4 All' to catch up with owner Lucas Polycarpou and I have to say, I had no idea just how much they do here, with 6 Full Size Bowling Alleys, a Children's Play Room, called 'The Jungle' and a fully fitted club style party room called 'La Mour' for up to 150 of your friends. There's also a restaurant with a top chef presenting a full a' la carte menu and that's just for starters, excuse the pun … oh and, a few big screen TV's so you can just pop in for a drink to watch all the live sports and the footie! … So it really is a fun place for kids, and grown ups!

I love July, and you all know it's really my favourite month, partly coz it’s my birthday on the 27th and that means I’ve made it another year, and I’ll probably be throwing a party! Topping the tan is easy in July coz Its goiing to be up there around the 38°C mark and thats in the shade, so it'll be well over 40°C in direct sun so please take care, sit in the shade for a bit and use a good sun protection and after sun protection is just as important ....
