To Steki tou Boss, Paralimni

0
To Steki tou Boss, in the heart of Paralimni is an authentic Cypriot Taverna, offering that 'Home from Home' feeling! Inside the décor, in one part designer influenced bespoke wooden tables and chairs made really comfy, patchwork high stools up at the bar, blended with cafe-style seating, lots of wood, village artefacts everywhere, plants and really cool lighting. The menu is a tick list of what's in the kitchen so you create your own meze, 3 of those, 2 of these, none of them etc ... just brilliant .... Highly recommended ... Sanctuary Fitness Studio, Paralimni

Ladies; As I walked in, I immediately thought, ‘wow this place looks the business’, spacious, with lots of mirrors, hanging fresh plants to increase the oxygen levels, above a row of impressive water-filled Aqua Eyedrop Punch Bags, and along the back wall, a line of very expensive ‘Stages’ Fitness Bikes of Amsterdam … I soon realised I wasn’t wrong.

HoliHire Rentals, Protaras

The idea was to provide a hire service of all the basic necessities you might need while you're visiting Cyprus or when friends or family are visiting you.  I mean, sometimes you just can't pack the kitchen sink ... well don't worry they've got everything from baby cots to push chairs, and baby baths to mobility scooters, and well, you name it they'll have it, and if they haven't got it they'll find it for you ! PowerJet Cleaning & PowerJet Waste Services, Cyprus

0
What I like most about this company is the professional set up and their highest quality equipment.  Andreas explained, "primarily, for drain clearance we don't use hazardous toxic chemicals, we use normal water and very powerful jetting systems, with pressures from 100 to 350 bar and at temperatures up to 100°C  i.e. steam, and so, our system is totally biological"

Ammochostos Motor Museum, Ayia Napa

0
I wanted to have a chat before Andreas gave me a personal tour of the museum, so we met upstairs in the cafe and ice cream parlour, my delicious cappuccino brewed with 'Vittorio Coffee' pure Arabica from Brazil.  I asked Andreas to tell me how it all started?  He said, "It started as a hobby, I would find old cars, in Cyprus, mostly Fords, buy them and restore them myself, to showroom perfection, sometimes having to source spare parts from all over the world.  Then he said, " Next thing you know, whenever my friends were selling a vintage or classic car, I would buy it".

To’ Nissiotiko Taverna, Protaras

0
Serving traditional Cypriot cuisine, or as Artemaki calls it, ''pure horthiaytiko'' or 'village-style' in English. The food is always cooked fresh, mostly over real charcoal, so it'll take at least 20 minutes to be served, but let me just say; it's worth every minute! and don't worry the pitta bread, dips and salads will wet your apatite. Whilst Arimaki's mum cooks traditional Cypriot dishes for your delight!

Parko Paliatso Luna Park, Ayia Napa

0
I love this place, the sounds of gears and links chinking, smothered by fair ground music, the smell of candy floss and bbq corn on the cob, the multi coloured lights and occasional girly screams. It's really cool idea coz you just buy a Wrist Band depending on your ages and what you want to do!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
