My initial interest was to find out about their gins, Aris explained, "it's what originally brought us back to Cyprus, 'to create a quality craft gin'.  Our initial inspiration was the aroma of The Troodos Mountains after a long dry summer when it first rains and we wanted to capture exactly that and put it in a bottle and we called it Aoratas Dry Gin which in fact last year won a gold medal.

"we were up in the Troodos mountains, letting the dogs taste a little snow, run around and have fun, my friend Garry rented a sled, and while playing with the dogs he just asked me to hand him the leads, and it was amazing, we couldn't believe it, the huskies absolutely loved it, they couldn't wait to pull the sled again and again, wagging their tails and barking to let us let them run ... so we had a purpose built sled specially made for us and now the dogs can do what they do, naturally, and as they loved it so much, I thought why not share this with like minded people".

I recently caught up with Savvas, who, in my book, is one of the old school, around since before Napa became the clubbing capital of Europe.  He told me, "I got on my first motorbike when I was 12, and opened this bike rentals in 1992.  Over a lovely coffee, Savvas said, "We were renting out mostly those little 50cc bikes.  When Cyprus joined Europe in 2004, Quad Bikes and Buggies started flooding the rental market, so I launched, what became an excellent Quad Buggy Safari in 2012 ... I loved this place the moment I saw the name, … It's a British Style pub, from the outside all white and doors, really cool signage and some comfy seating to enjoy a drink in the late sunny afternoons and watch the world go by, hanging baskets and signs everywhere. Inside, pristine, the bar wood and red brick, it's spacious with comfy seating, out back a Unique Beer Garden with regular live music events. It's one of my favourites to watch all the live sports . Over to the right a separate games area, with pool table and regular Killer Pool and a Bar Football table … and to top it off one of the best chef's in Cyprus!!!

It's one of my favourite months, coz the long hot summer is over, or is it? coz it looks like our prediction that 'we’re gonna have another Indian Summer this year', is happening with temperatures expected to hit 29°C this month it looks like we were right again!  Following all that rain we had in October, the air is clearer, so the sun will be stronger, be warned!  So, you’ll still be able to wear shorts and a tee-shirt by day, chill out around the pool or pop down to the beach to Top up the Tan for Christmas, did I just say Christmas? omg! …
