The Grand Slam is a family run British style boozer, it's even on the corner, on the sunny side of the road, and once known as The Corner Pin, inside it looks busy, with quirky little designs mostly mums doing, I just love the Table Tops they're well cool ... As usual, the first thing I wanted to know was why 'Frosty & Latte'? much as I thought I sort of knew the answer.  But to my surprise, 'Adamantri' said, "We must have thought of over 60 names, in the end we named the shop after our two dogs", which conveniently complemented it perfectly.  I mentioned I loved the décor, which sort of fuses contemporary minimalism with cosy charm, and she said, "I love to do a little interior design, and for a smallish shop, I think we did really well"

I was invited by Antonis and Demitries to try their 'All You Can Eat Sushi & More Buffet at The Fish House Restaurant in Ayia Napa.  I have to say it was the 'More' bit that got my curiousity going, so I had to ask, "Antonis said, "Our chefs conjure up a selection of salads, the prawn salad was delicious, and Asian dishes, like samosas, spring rolls, fried rice, noodles, crispy chicken, crispy duck and pancakes ... How could I resist?

I couldn't resist, so I started with, 'So John, tell me about the old days'... As he replied, his voice became a bit more emotional. I love it when I find 'something out of the ordinary', slightly off the beaten track, owned by a guy who just wants to do what he loves with a passion.  Savvinos is dedicated about absolutely anything to do with Skatsa and 'Skateboarding'in Larnaca.  I've known him from the old indoor skate park days.
