Wine and More, Boutique, Kapparis

0
Following their massive recent refurbishment, the new fully licensed Wine Boutique is looking really cool and still awaiting a few final touches.  Airconditioned to a constant 21°C, the old 'AlcoHall Cava' has matured nicely into 'Wine and More Boutique' because the owners noticed that's what many of their clients were looking for!

Savino Rock Bar, Larnaca

0
Still one of the oldest, most classic and much loved pubs in Larnaca, after over 30 years ... the décor, all wood, prints and rock memorabilia everywhere, the courtyard out back all traditional and delightful. It's Cypriot, Rock hospitality, all the way!  with music ranging from Classic Rock to Jazz and Rhythm & Blues, and even occasionally, a little Reggae ... I just love this pub!

Chase & Status and MC Rage Live at The BCL Music Festival, Ayia Napa

0
Beach Cult Live Music Festival is the only Beach Party on the sand in Ayia Napa this year ... It's 10 Events, one each Saturday through the summer season and this week its US Rapper 'Ace Hood' all the way from Florida to Ayia Napa ... and we're gonna be boogying with our toes in the sand, at the only beach festival in Napa this year BCL ... and I can't wait, it's gonna be sick!

Andreas installs probably the best sound, light and automation equipment money can buy and to say he's a perfectionist is an understatement ... btw, you've probably been listening to his sound equipment and looking admiringly at his architectural lighting designs without even realising it!  Because, his work is evident in many restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels,  nightclubs, retail outlets, boat cruises and private homes from Paralimni to Paphos and everywhere in between ... Pretty much every Friday and definitely every Saturday, and the day before a bank holiday they host live Rock gigs with big name international bands and the very best local Greek and English Rock Bands ... they even squeeze in a little Rhythm and Blues, Indie, Folk, and the occasional Reggae and Disco night too ... I've even caught them doing The Candy up on stage ... adding a bit of live comedy these days ... You'll love it here !

Artificial Grass by Rustic Furniture Collection, Paralimni

It’s so hard to grow natural grass in Cyprus, so Jimmy is the main agent, importing this fantastic selection of synthetic, aka artificial grass of varying grades and blades, of 30mm, 35mm, and 40 mm length, in rolls of 25 metres length by 2 or 4 metres in width.  It can be cut to fit any size lawn, big or small, so you can make your garden lush green all year …

Cyherbia Botanical Park & Labyrinth, Avgorou

It's amazing how many people still didn't know this place exists ... it's situated in the village of Avgorou, and includes beautifully landscaped herb gardens, the woodland area created in the shape of Cyprus, scattered with the endemic trees and shrubs of Cyprus, a Lavender Labyrinth, and it boasts the first and only hedge maze on the island, all 2000 sq.m. of it ...

Haris Bar & Tavern, Paphos

Knights GastroPub, Pernera Area, Protaras

0
I've watched this pub grow since it opened in 1988.  It's all dark wood, tables, comfy seats and benches.  The whole place is covered in artefacts, flags, posters, blackboards and hundreds of photos added over the years.  I'm sure I'm in a few, ha!, in fact, I probably took a few of them too.  It's a GastroPub with a cool mix of an international clientele, and of course, the locals in the area, even our nationals who swarm down to the East Coast for a swim on a weekend, and something to eat, and all add to the ever-increasing repeat custom and inevitably, I'd have to say; it's one of the most successful pubs in Cyprus! ... Tbh, the weekends are soooo busy I prefer to go Monday til Thursday, I get more attention 😉

Parko Paliatso Luna Park, Ayia Napa

0
I love this place, the sounds of gears and links chinking, smothered by fair ground music, the smell of candy floss and bbq corn on the cob, the multi coloured lights and occasional girly screams. It's really cool idea coz you just buy a Wrist Band depending on your ages and what you want to do!

Play 4 All Bowling, Playground & Party, Paralimni

0
I was delighted to be invited to 'Play 4 All' to catch up with owner Lucas Polycarpou and I have to say, I had no idea just how much they do here, with 6 Full Size Bowling Alleys, a Children's Play Room, called 'The Jungle' and a fully fitted club style party room called 'La Mour' for up to 150 of your friends.  There's also a restaurant with a top chef presenting a full a' la carte menu and that's just for starters, excuse the pun … oh and, a few big screen TV's so you can just pop in for a drink to watch all the live sports and the footie! … So it really is a fun place for kids, and grown ups!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
