I caught up with Nikos who also owns Blazing Saddles Pub next door, who told me "I opened the Indian Restaurant in 2013 because there wasn't an authentic one in the area.  Then one year later my customers persuaded me that there wasn't a decent Chinese either", and chop-chop it happened!  ... And then, quite recently Nikos again listened to his customers' wishes, and added Thai & Sushi, so as you're in Cyprus, now you might as well 'Meze' it up, Asian style!

I met with Alexandra in Cafe Central, and over a delicious cappuccino I asked her to tell me more, starting with why my cappuccino was so good?  She smiled and said, "We selected Robusta coffee beans, from southern and central Africa, because it's an international multi-award winning coffee, with a woody, spicy, slightly bitter taste, that we preferred over Arabica" ... oh and just wait til you see the menu ...

There will be music, there'll be dancing, there'll be children bouncing around, there'll be plates of food arriving at tables ... And somewhere in Meneou, there will be clay-sealed clay ovens quietly doing what Cypriot clay ovens do best, for literally hundreds of years ... Making kleftiko ...
