Ayia Napa

WARNING ! You’re gonna find it pretty hard to leave this fantasy to go back to reality …

Anyone who knows Napa, knows, that ‘full of youths’ stigma is just a load of media hype and no different from any other top resort! Fact is, it’s so versatile…

Jager Bomb Dominos by Rainy & Mixalis

0
This dance bar is swinging into a new era, with Mixalis in charge these days, he's aiming at getting rid of the old cobwebs and instilling something younger and a little different ... it's now just a late bar with lots of good clubbing music and a cool vibe oh and they are keeping the dancing girls to keep you company 😉

Things To Do

0
Many years ago, we tagged this wonderful rock as The Mythological Party Playground of the Mediterranean, and versatility is our speciality, and as our Leisure & Pleasure market continues to expand for the fast-growing cosmopolitan Cypriots, so too do the options of things to do ... and as I've said many times, make sure you do at least one thing you've never done before ...

Cyprus Rocks Festival 2017, Protaras … 4th ’til 11th October

0
What started as a weekend gig, grew into a week long party and then two weeks of pure rock festival, live bands on a big stage, and often in intimate venues, where you get a chance to grab a drink and socialise with like minded mates you've not seen since the last festival, as well as the band members who hang around the venues, along with the thousands of rock fans that started to follow Eddie's Classic Rock Tours over ten years ago ...

Capodecina Pasta Bar, Larnaca

0
I popped into meet Stelios and Eleni, inside its clean cut, minimalistic, Italian designer style, with wooden flooring, comfortable seating for around 25 people inside and a few tables outside for Al' Fresco dining … Stelios told me "we wanted to make it feel like Home from Home" … I loved the really cool photos chosen by Eleni, especially the one saying "Eat the Spaghetti to Forget your Regretti", brilliant"!

Island Homes Estate Agents, Paralimni

0
What I like most about this estate agent is the 'Extremely Transparent' tag they've developed from trust and pricing to the way they'll point out the bad points along with the good ones.  I love the extra effort they put into each property, checking on title deeds, and building permits and keeping close ties with local authorities so that they pretty much know everything about each property on their books.

Kolios Butchery, Delicatessen & Winery, Paphos

0
As Leonidas warmly shared during our conversation, "We have evolved beyond a typical butcher shop.  It's now a modern-day 3-in-1 marvel, offering a traditional butchery with a twist, an extensive delicatessen, and an exquisite selection of fine wines that we produce." ...

What am I eating?

0
Naturally I'm a little bias, but Cypriot cuisine cooked the Cypriot way is just unbeatable!

Chloe’s Chinese Restaurant, Paphos

0
I love the menu which explains the recipes and regional influences, the free Chinese horoscope booklet and the interior design which is traditional, with spacious comfortable seating, separate small rooms for a little privacy, banqueting rooms for up to 50 people, and the view overlooking the harbour through beautifully etched glass windows is breath taking ... and the overall ambience will just carry you all the way into the east.

Intro - Paralimni - St Georges Church ScanParalimni & Kapparis

Next to the Lake Paralimni is best described as Ayia Napa and Protaras’ ‘live in’ village, Para-limni means, next to the lake!  And we still have, arguably, our winter fill as evidence, enough to confuse…

Napa City Apartments, Ayia Napa

0
… One of the things I like about this 'Touristic accommodation' is their central position, just 300 metres walk from the square in Ayia Napa.  It's a small complex, with only 14 spacious, studio and 1 bedroom apartments with kitchenettes, but no pool, or cafe, but that's not a problem because you're just 50 metres from a mini supermarket, tavernas, bars and amenities and the sea is just a few minutes away.

Cartridge World, Cyprus

0
I have been more than happy with their service for 24 years! And not just to buy their own brand Ink and Toner Refills, but good quality, reliable brand name Printers, Laptops, Phones, Tablets, Computers, Peripherals, Headphones, Sat Nav, and even General Office Supplies, like Paper, Cello tape, Paper clips, and The latest 3D Printing, and much, much more ...

Bottoms Up Kiosk, Cava & Grocery, Ayia Napa

0
It's deceiving from the outside, 'Tardis' like, comes to mind, as inside you'll find about 7,000 different labels, everything from postcards to booze and puffs, chocolates, drinks and munchies, to all your basic groceries and fresh fruit and veg, oh, Suntan Lotions and Beachwear, Body Boards and Buckets & Spades, and they're open 24/7, 365 Days a year ... now that's what I call 'convenient' and just what you'll need 😉

House of Paws, Pet Boutique, Paphos

0
Alongside dogs and cats, 'House of Paws' caters to many species of animals: small mammals, aquatic, reptiles and avian.  There are cages and tanks available, along with specialist foods, water pumps, supplements, bedding, and feeding dishes ... including; Toy mirrors for parrots, Heat lamps for snakes, and Berry treats for bunny rabbits and even the latest Tag Engraving ... With such a broad range of stock, the boutique is certainly close to a 'Noah’s Ark'!

The Loop, Brunch, Coffee, Life, Paralimni

0
Over a gorgeous cappuccino I asked Vaida, why she created 'The Loop'? … She explained; "I'm originally from Lithuania, but lived in Holland for many many years and fell in love and married Nicos a Cypriot and finally moved to Cyprus just 8 years ago" … Vaida continued, "I noticed there was a distinct lack of places to get good fresh food, not just vegetarian and vegan but specialising in healthy eats and healthy diets".

Napa Plaza Boutique Hotel, Ayia Napa

0
I've worked closely with this multi-award winning Four Star hotel for over 30 years, and the swing towards an 'Adults Only' concept really distinguishes this hotel from the others, underlined by a chic, stylish, unique, communicative, relaxed, and enjoyable environment.   It's a haven for travellers seeking a unique blend of modern comfort, personalized service, and an intimate ambience.

Deep Ink, Pernera, Protaras

0
I asked Andreas why he called his studio Deep Ink, he explained Deep is not just in the Ink it's in the thought I put into my art when creating the design, taking into consideration, what part of the body it's going to go on and the other tattoos around it and most importantly adding something deeper to make it unique ...

Carbon Copies Live @ Tipsy O’Turtle, Pernera

0
Carbon Copies are a four-piece band from the United Kingdom, best known for performing popular indie rock and alternative rock hits. Their repertoire features music from some of Britain's best-loved bands, alongside well-known rock anthems from the international music scene.

Parko Paliatso Luna Park, Ayia Napa

0
I love this place, the sounds of gears and links chinking, smothered by fair ground music, the smell of candy floss and bbq corn on the cob, the multi coloured lights and occasional girly screams. It's really cool idea coz you just buy a Wrist Band depending on your ages and what you want to do!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
