Ayia Napa

WARNING ! You’re gonna find it pretty hard to leave this fantasy to go back to reality …

Anyone who knows Napa, knows, that ‘full of youths’ stigma is just a load of media hype and no different from any other top resort! Fact is, it’s so versatile…

Daltons Tex Mex Restaurant, Ayia Napa

0
This Tex Mex Restaurant and Bar starts off brilliant as you walk through under the arch, welcomed by an awesome crew and ends up delightful as you leave.  The decoration is themed to the Wild Wild West ... all wooden and ranch style with cacti everywhere, and things like the sheriff's office and the real jail ... to lock up your kids while you eat 😉 Inside the gates its al fresco style with a retractable roof so you'll dine under the stars.

Grand Slam Inn, Kapparis

0
The Grand Slam is a family run British style boozer, it's even on the corner, on the sunny side of the road, and once known as The Corner Pin, inside it looks busy, with quirky little designs mostly mums doing, I just love the Table Tops they're well cool ... There's music memorabilia all over the place with a professional light and sound system, a well stocked bar, with a lovely front terrace onto Kapparis Avenue ... it's a great stop off for an afternoon drink, good pub grub, and there's something happening here almost every night!

Most of the locals speak English but they love it if you make an effort to speak their language. I do it in English phonetics so just read in English … Simples! … oh and don’t take it too seriously …

To Steki tou Boss, Paralimni

0
To Steki tou Boss, in the heart of Paralimni is an authentic Cypriot Taverna, offering that 'Home from Home' feeling! Inside the décor, in one part designer influenced bespoke wooden tables and chairs made really comfy, patchwork high stools up at the bar, blended with cafe-style seating, lots of wood, village artefacts everywhere, plants and really cool lighting. The menu is a tick list of what's in the kitchen so you create your own meze, 3 of those, 2 of these, none of them etc ... just brilliant .... Highly recommended ... I love this place, the sounds of gears and links chinking, smothered by fair ground music, the smell of candy floss and bbq corn on the cob, the multi coloured lights and occasional girly screams. It's really cool idea coz you just buy a Wrist Band depending on your ages and what you want to do!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
