Still one of the oldest, most classic and much loved pubs in Larnaca, after over 30 years ... the décor, all wood, prints and rock memorabilia everywhere, the courtyard out back all traditional and delightful. It's Cypriot, Rock hospitality, all the way!  with music ranging from Classic Rock to Jazz and Rhythm & Blues, and even occasionally, a little Reggae ... I just love this pub!

Sonny’s Restaurant, Paphos

0
Coming outta Shepherds Bush in London, Chris with over 30 years experience and catering in his blood, followed his father's footsteps and in 2012 he finally sealed the deal to buy the old Banana Cabaret Bar in Kissonerga, better known for its sauciness than its sauces 😉  He named it 'Sonny's, after his son, so I suppose it was inevitable Sonny would join his dad sooner or later, together they make an unbeatable team! ... And tbh, you'll probably need to book to make sure you find a table!

Pyrgos Fireworks, Cyprus

0
I met up with the owner Nicos Pyrgos for a chat, and it soon became obvious that this guy has exceptional knowledge about fireworks ... after all, his father Marios launched the company back in 1986, laughing, Nicos said, "I've got gunpowder in my veins"! ... ha! my type of guy!

Camel Park, Mazotos, Larnaca

0
It's a lovely idea for a truly different day out. What I really like about The Camel Park is it’s diversity, as there’s always something new to see every time you go. With such a lot of animals, there’s often a few babies around including iccle Camels, ranging from as little as 2 weeks old … they are just delightful! You can choose to stroll around at your leisure or there’s guides who offer information in several languages.

I asked Marios @ Andria Steak & Seafood Restaurant, in Coral Bay, Paphos what's their secret behind their success?  He said "it's down to the quality of our ingredients, everything is fresh daily and cooked to order, and to us, presentation is an art" ... I have to say it's impeccable!  Marios continued; "to cook a good steak you first have to buy a good steak, and that's exactly what we do, importing the finest Black Angus Beef and the freshest seafood caught daily by local fishermen" ... Specialising in sound, light, and automation, without doubt Andreas' expertise is evident, with many top bars and clubs trusting in his knowledge and experience, to be honest, I've never met anyone who knows audio better than this guy, and listened with interest as he critiqued the sound and light system at Ministry of Sound in London on our visit a few years back, ask him to tell you about it 😉

Parko Paliatso Luna Park, Ayia Napa

0
I love this place, the sounds of gears and links chinking, smothered by fair ground music, the smell of candy floss and bbq corn on the cob, the multi coloured lights and occasional girly screams. It's really cool idea coz you just buy a Wrist Band depending on your ages and what you want to do!

Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
