One of the most impressive features of the Amathus Ruins is the Temple of Aphrodite, which I believe, was excavated in the 1980s.  The temple was a center of worship for the goddess of love and beauty and was believed to have been built in the 6th century BC.  The temple was adorned with beautiful sculptures and frescoes, many of which can still be seen today.

George showed me around the grounds explaining; "You can learn so much about marine life here, and rivers and swamps and the Penguins, the first ever in the Mediterranean region, naturally kept comfortable in the appropriate climate controlled environment".  Just watching one of their videos I amazingly learned that all Gold Fish don't have stomachs, so they have to keep eating, which means you should feed them small amounts 5 times a day, probably why I was never successful keeping one, but now I know!

This is where they excel, specialising in over 20 different choices of kebabs.  Gyros here is a choice of 4 meats, pork, chicken from Greece, beef and lamb from the UK, each cut into thin slices, layered and seasoned, and set onto big skewers ready to be imported.  Vangelis said, "I spend a little extra, but I get the very best" ... As usual, the first thing I wanted to know was why 'Frosty & Latte'? much as I thought I sort of knew the answer.  But to my surprise, 'Adamantri' said, "We must have thought of over 60 names, in the end we named the shop after our two dogs", which conveniently complemented it perfectly.  I mentioned I loved the décor, which sort of fuses contemporary minimalism with cosy charm, and she said, "I love to do a little interior design, and for a smallish shop, I think we did really well"
