Pig ‘N’ Whistle Pub & Restaurant, Kapparis

It's a pub with British style pub, with an international clientele, an awesome crew, a relaxed ambience, and a great place to eat traditional pub grub with a twist oh, and an awesome place to watch all the live sports ... It's like home from home even if you're on your own! ... What else do you need from a pub? Your favourite tipple, they've probably got it!

To Steki tou Boss, Paralimni

0
To Steki tou Boss, in the heart of Paralimni is an authentic Cypriot Taverna, offering that 'Home from Home' feeling! Inside the décor, in one part designer influenced bespoke wooden tables and chairs made really comfy, patchwork high stools up at the bar, blended with cafe-style seating, lots of wood, village artefacts everywhere, plants and really cool lighting. The menu is a tick list of what's in the kitchen so you create your own meze, 3 of those, 2 of these, none of them etc ... just brilliant .... Highly recommended ... My initial interest was to find out about their gins, Aris explained, "it's what originally brought us back to Cyprus, 'to create a quality craft gin'.  Our initial inspiration was the aroma of The Troodos Mountains after a long dry summer when it first rains and we wanted to capture exactly that and put it in a bottle and we called it Aoratas Dry Gin which in fact last year won a gold medal.

I caught up with Nikos who also owns Blazing Saddles Pub next door, who told me "I opened the Indian Restaurant in 2013 because there wasn't an authentic one in the area.  Then one year later my customers persuaded me that there wasn't a decent Chinese either", and chop-chop it happened!  ... Ed’s Note October 2026

0
It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
